Outreach Ministries Ministries of Men of God Christian Fraternity, Inc.
Through
out the year chapters of Men of God Christian Fraternity are involved
in a number of activities which support the community and bless the
Kingdom of God. Here are a few community outreach events and programs
that are held throughout the year.

B.A.S.I.C.
(Brothers and Sisters Growing Together In Christ)
B.A.S.I.C. is a weekly bible study involving men and women from the
SFA campus. The word is brought by a different person every week.

Tha
Bible Shop
Tha Bible Shop is an on campus barber shop where young men from on and
off campus can come and receive a haircut while also receiving the word
of God. This ministry provides a very much needed service at a cheap
price on campus and is an innovative way to share the God news of Jesus
Christ. The ministry is organized by Gabe Moore.

"A
Rubie's Worth"
Normally on Valetine's Day the men of the Abishai Chapter host a banquet
where the young women on campus are served and appreciated for the women
of God that they are. The members of the ministry serve dinner, present
gifts and deliver an encouraging word from the Lord to the women. Through
this ministry men develop a sense of how a man of God should treat their
sisters in Christ whether as a friend, brother in Christ or husband.

Live
Men of God "Live" is a youth outreach program in which the
entire chapter is able to reach out and encourage young junior high
men to live their lives for Christ. Men of God "Live" consist
of weekly fellowships of eating lunch with students at Dunbar Junior
High and Cavazos Junior High in Lubbock, TX. Once a month Men of God
"Live" hosts after school programs at both schools in order
to further fellowship with the students as well as present the gospel
of Jesus Christ openly.

Tracts
The Eleazar Chapter often ministers to the Texas Tech campus by passing
out tracts on campus as well as in the community. Tracts are passed
out to campus every Monday and Tuesday in the free speech area during
the exchanging of classes. On Thursday nights after the conclusion of
"Paradigm" a local college bible study, tracts are handed
out to persons hanging out in the depot district.

Midnight
Bible Study
Midnight Bible Study is a ministry geared toward college students from
and around the Lubbock community. The bible study is held at 12:00 midnight
on Friday nights at the watershed formally known as the Living Room.
It is located in the heart of the depot district on 16th street and
Ave. G. Praise and worship is led by Swingeltrees and the word is normally
prepared by Messay Getahun.

"God's
Love" Dinner Party
Starting in 2000 this event is an outreach ministry to the community
that exemplifies how young men should treat and honor young women, as
well as teaching the brothers in the organization how to become a men
of God through his relationships. In the past the event has been held
privately where the men have cooked and hosted several women in the
community. Recently the dinner has been hosted at restaurants such as
the county line. The evening is always capped off by a word of encouragement
from the Lord and some fun games.

A.R.O.C.
(Above Reproach on Campus)
Above Reproach on Campus is an outdoor concert targeted toward Texas
Tech students on campus. AROC is a half day concert filled with numerous
Christian bands that lead praise and worship, highlighted by a time
where a local minister is able to share an encouraging and challenging
message. Upon completion of AROC there is an after party held at the
Watershed where other Christian artists are available to minister. AROC
is organized by Brother Messay Getahun.

Dalhart
Prison Ministry
The Dalhart Prison ministry is an opportunity for the chapter to visit
a local prison and share the message of Jesus Christ through miming,
praise and worship, and by an encouraging word from God. Dalhart is
a mimimum security prison located just outside Lubbock. Each member
was able to interact, pray and share the message of Jesus Christ with
numerous men. This ministry is done in conjunction with the ladies of
Sigma Phi Lambda Christian Sorority.

Foundation
Christian Camp
Foundation Christian Camp is a camp geared toward
incoming freshman that help them adjust to college life as well as helping
them get plugged into Christian organizations on campus. The camp is
held a week before the start of school at a near by retreat center in
Paladuro Canyon. The three day retreat is operated by a council of members
from each of the Christian fraternities and sororities on the Texas
Tech Campus.
